I stopped by this site when was actively searching for a quality resume assistance. I was ready to pay good money to someone who would make a job-winning resume for me. And then I found this website, owned by a job search coach. He provides CV writing services as well as leads an online job search course. I thought that the writer with a good reputation would be a great fit, and decided to order a resume here.


Price policy

The site looked a bit obsolete, with the long articles which were quite hard to read. However, in 10 minutes or something I finally found the price. Resume charges varied from $125 to $195, LinkedIn was $65. Extra updates were $45, which really surprised me as most of such sites – classyresumes.com/ and others – are willing to make amendments for free. I looked for an order form but haven’t found any; so I simply emailed the writer my old resume asking how to proceed.

Details of order

After a short conversation it turned out that the price would be a bit higher than I expected at the beginning. For a resume and cover letter I paid $240, which was still not very much. The writer also asked me to provide the job title and my career objectives. As my old resume was pretty detailed, I didn’t have to fill in the questionnaire. The writer promised to complete his work in a week. We didn’t have a coaching session on the phone – we simply talked for around 10 minutes, he asked me some witty questions about my personal qualities and our communication finished.

Quality of support and writing

As this is a site owned by one person, it doesn’t have a support team. You can address all the queries to the writer using the phone number on the site.

As for the writing quality, LinkedIn profile was filled in a traditional way, but the resume really surprised me. I liked the way writer improved it, but the design and structure were so unusual that I had serious doubts whether I would be able to send such a document. I think he overdid with design; I understand that the resume should be eye-catching, but a resume which is too bright can turn the recruiter away.

The bottom line

There were positive moments in dealing with this company – the price was low, and the writer was a pleasant person. The downside was seven long days of waiting and a design that just blew my mind. As the amendments were paid, I had to make my resume black and white manually. I’d recommend you look up for services that provide more standard designs.
